The Eshop Award 2023 – Information on members of the jury and the process of judging

The jurors of theEshop Award 2023 (hereinafter “Competition”) will be subject to the criteria set out in the Statement and will act in accordance with the criteria set out below.

  • The juror is not employed by the Organizer of the Competition (Maximum Business Kft. and Complexpress Logisztika Kft. (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”), is not the owner of the Organizer, and has no direct personal or business relationship with the Organizer, except for the Competition.
  • The juror has no personal or business relationship with the webshops participating in the Competition and scored by the juror and/or its owners or employees. If a juror and a particular store have any relationship mentioned herein, they shall report it to the Organizer. The juror acknowledges that in such a case the competing online shop may not receive any points from them and accepts that, in order to avoid the slightest damage to the interests of such competitor or to reduce their chances, the webshop will receive a score calculated by the specific algorithm of the Competition from the weighted scores of the other Jurors.
  • The juror agrees that they may not request, receive or disclose any personal information and/or business data relating to the stores participating in the Competition.
  • The juror acknowledges that under no circumstances may they disclose to any third party any information obtained during the Competition relating to the organization, judging and online scoring system of the Competition.
  • Until the final result of the Competition is announced, the juror may not request or receive information about the status of the Competition, the score achieved by a given website from the Organizer or any other jurors.
  • The juror accepts all the evaluation criteria of the judging system defined by the Organizer.
  • The juror acknowledges that they have the right to know the online scoring system, but not the specific algorithm used to judge the Competition.
  • The juror agrees that they will only have access to the list of shortlisted stores at the earliest 10 days before the live judging date of the final.
  • The jury will score the stores solely on the basis of the criteria set by the Organizer, taking into account only the quality of the services and the technical design provided by the online stores.
  • In the course of assessing, the juror is entitled to carry out test purchases in the online stores, which they may do taking into account the information provided by the Organizer in a manner that does not in any way harm the business interests of the stores.
  • The juror shall score the stores objectively to the best of their knowledge.
  • The juror shall at all times maintain the reputation, purity and transparency of the Competition.
